The Tony Bennett & Bill Evans Album brings Tony Bennett’s expressive vocals and Bill Evans’ lyrical piano together in an intimate 1975 jazz collaboration. This Analogue Productions Fantasy 45 Series edition presents the album on two 180g vinyl LPs cut at 45 RPM, with mastering by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman at Acoustech Mastering.
With voice and piano at the center, the duo gives these standards room to breathe. Bennett’s warm phrasing meets Evans’ rich chord voicings on “My Foolish Heart,” “The Touch of Your Lips” and “But Beautiful,” while “Waltz for Debby” showcases their musical rapport.
Put on a side and settle into the interplay of singer and pianist, with no big-band accompaniment competing for attention. Pressed at Quality Record Pressings, this edition is packaged in a Stoughton Printing Old Style tip-on gatefold jacket with a scuff-resistant matte finish.
