The Who’s My Generation captures the band’s explosive debut on Analogue Productions mono 180g 45 RPM vinyl 2LP. Mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering from the original analog master tapes, this edition is pressed at Quality Record Pressings and housed in a Stoughton Printing tip-on old-style gatefold jacket with a scuff-resistant matte finish.
Originally released in 1965, My Generation reached No. 5 on the U.K. charts and captured the raw energy of the British mod scene. Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon combine aggressive guitar work, driving bass and explosive drums on songs including “My Generation,” “The Kids Are Alright” and “A Legal Matter.”
Start with “Out in the Street,” turn to the title track’s defiant vocals and Entwistle bass solo, and finish with the instrumental interplay of “The Ox.” The complete album is spread across four sides for 45 RPM playback.
