INXS’ Kick blends rock, pop, funk and dance grooves on Analogue Productions Atlantic 75 Series hybrid stereo SACD. This edition is mastered by Ryan K. Smith direct to DSD from an EQ’d tape copy and celebrates the 75th anniversary of Atlantic Records.
Released in 1987, the Australian band’s sixth and best-selling studio album features “New Sensation,” “Devil Inside,” “Never Tear Us Apart” and the U.S. No. 1 hit “Need You Tonight.” Producer Chris Thomas brings together funk and soul influences with mainstream rock, while Michael Hutchence’s distinctive vocals anchor the album’s energetic arrangements.
Settle into the complete twelve-track album, from “Guns in the Sky” through “Tiny Daggers,” with familiar favorites including “Mystify” and the title track along the way.
