Bob Marley and The Wailers’ Burnin’ brings “Get Up, Stand Up” and “I Shot the Sheriff” to Analogue Productions hybrid stereo SACD. This edition is mastered direct to DSD from the original master tape by Frank Arkwright and Ryan K. Smith at Abbey Road Studios in London.
Released in October 1973, the group’s sixth album captures Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer together before Tosh and Bunny departed for solo careers. All three contributed to writing, recording and producing the album in Jamaica, creating a set rooted in revolutionary spirit and spiritual expression.
Settle into the complete ten-track album, from the rallying opening of “Get Up, Stand Up” to “Rasta Man Chant.” Alongside its signature songs, Burnin’ revisits earlier Wailers favorites with new recordings of “Put It On,” “Duppy Conqueror” and “Small Axe.”
